signer Belinda Bennetts, features credits typography set atop woodblock illustrations and calligraphic ornaments, flourishes with graceful curves over fields of snow. Also from the first moments of the opening sequence, the film is imbued with a sense of ease and familiarity.
3. These images depict the atmosphere of the neighborhood and people in the beginning of the film. This gives off a warm feeling and makes viewers feel "at home". This can help further develop the characters in continuation of the film.
4. The film establishes a feeling of the genre from the outset by the ominous and neighborly background. This creates a feeling of drama within the film, by letting the audience know a little of what kind of tone will be carried on throughout the film.
5. The strategies used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience would have to be the setting choice in the opening sequence of the film. This shows the type of people that live in this atmosphere and how the movie will be showcased.
6. The technology and editing techniques, based off of the intro sequence, appeals to the audiences' eye, by the use of camera shots. It conveys the town by using an establishing shot, showing off & highlighting the building, mountains, and snow and uses close up shots, as a preview of whats going to happen in the film.
